Well tomorrow is our first official day for this new school year. We are really looking forward to it too! I decided to ease in to our year by starting the older kids first and M will finish her pre-school stuff. She'll begin K on the day after Labor Day.
At our school we follow Charlotte Mason, A bit of Waldorf, and a few tweaks that just fit our family. Our faith is very important to us, we try to honor God by involving Him in ever aspect of our life. With that said we enjoy a very family-oriented lifestyle. Since we live together we try to live life by learning, worshipping, working, playing, and loving life surrounded by family and others who love us. We do enjoy a bit of solitude when we can, lol !
This year I'm doing a bit of mixing and matching to fit every one's needs. We love curriculum from Amblesideonline, My Father's world, Serendipity, Dianne Craft, and Math-U-See. As you might notice even though I feel I most relate to Charlotte Mason, we are not purists in our methods.
I hope my future posts can be more interesting but for now I must go check on the Twigs. Shalom!!
